The Dyke Hotel is pleased to welcome you from March to November inclusive. The hotel offers 15 comfortable rooms in the heart of the city center of Le Puy-en-Velay.

The Dyke Hotel is an ideal stop for Pilgrims, Hikers, Cyclists, and Bikers passing through who can shelter their machines in our private garage and set off on foot to discover the city center.

WHY DYKE HOTEL?
A dyke - pronounced [dik] - is a vertical volcanic rock exposed by erosion. More precisely, it is a blade of magmatic rock that rises above a fault after erosion. In Le Puy-en-Velay, the most famous dyke is the one on which the Saint-Michel d'Aiguilhe chapel, from the 11th century and recently elected the 2nd favorite monument of the French, is built.

The Dyke Hotel is a stone's throw from the major hiking trails such as the Saint-Jacques de Compostelle, the Stevenson Trail, the Saint-Régis Trail, or the Régordane Trail...
The location is close to the old town and the Camino di Compostela. It was a little noisy because we kept our windows open in the evening. We had a balcony with seating, which was nice. The continental breakfast was good, and the staff was excellent- polite, friendly, and helpful.
